Maggie Grace and Maggie Gyllenhaal

Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig September 21 1983) is an American actress best well-known for her role as Shannon Rutherford on the ABC television show Lost as well as Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington, Ohio and dropped out of school when her parents separated to go in Los Angeles to live with her mother. While struggling financially she landed her first acting gig as the title character in the web-based video show Rachel's Room in 2001. The role she played in the role of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the TV film Murder In Greenwich in 2002, earned her nominations for a Young Artist Award. In 2004 Grace was chosen to play Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost in which she was a main cast member for the first two seasons winning an award called the Screen Actors Guild Award shared with the cast of the ensemble. Grace left the television series in 2005 to pursue an even more prominent role in movies, and had a role opposite Tom Welling as Kim Mills in the film Taken. She was in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 and Taken (2008) alongside Liam Neeson. The role was reprised in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). The actress also appeared in Alice as Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is a modern adaptation that the Lewis Carroll novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace was Shannon once more in the show's finale and in two additional episodes. Grace appeared in Californication's 6th season that aired from 2013 to 2014. She plays Faith, who is an admirer and muse to the actors. Hank Moody as played by David Duchovny falls in love with her. She's a Gyllenhaal, the daughter of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), she is a bit older than Jake Gyllenhaal. In her early teens, she played small parts in the films of her father and co-starred with her older sister in Donnie Darko, a cult classic. She also starred as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. She also appeared on Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received praise from critics for her leading roles in Secretary (2002 the erotic romance drama) as well as Sherrybaby (606) Both of which garnered her Golden Globe Award nods. The Dark Knight, which was released in 2008, following many highly successful movies, such as World Trade Center (2006) which brought her greater recognition, was a huge success for Gyllenhaal. For her performance as a single mother, in Crazy Heart (2009) she received a nomination for Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. The subsequent roles she has played include Nanny McPhee, The Big Bang and Hysteria. Alongside her work as a Secret Service agent, she was also seen in White House Down (2013) as well as Frank (2014). One of her most recent roles include her character as the primary protagonist of the film The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). Gyllenhaal's first film as a writer and director took place in 2021, with The Lost Daughter, a psycho-drama that won her the Venice International Film Festival Best Screenplay Award. In addition, she received the Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
